The Lignite is used in pithead thermal power stations with installed capacity of 3640 mw of power generation. It has a thermal power plant of 1000 mw using coal in its joint venture. Recently is has diversified renewable energy generation and used 1404 mw solar power to generate electricity from the photo-voltaic PV Cell.
